My name is Susan I'm 55 . A single mom of a 15 year old boy. I'm in the medical field for 30 years. I do work for home health company. For almost 4 years . Since it paid by state Medicaid and VA funds. They do not pay much . I know I could get jobs that pay more. But I do this for my son career, He has been in ROTC for almost 5 and half years . At 15 he will be 16 in April and his goal is to go into National guards at 16 then when he graduates he want to enlist in military. I choose to work for the company do home health for basically the state . I can choose my days and hours. I do private care have lots of references. From taking care of DA mother, doctors,family members , from mother's ,to some disabled children. My husband died 18 years ago I do have 2 step children. I'm still close with they live in California. I have 3 grandchildren by them . They come to see me 2 to 3 times a year. Why they take a few vacations by their self . Thank u have a blessed day

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Kids love to bake especially girls. I love to ask the kids what are there favorite things to play with r do . As long as there parents allow them to do it. I learned in life kids can teach u more than people realize. Enjoy having fun with them . Even if it inside r out . Most important always keep a eye on them if there inside the house and if outside make sure they r by your side . And always go by the parents wishes . That is very important

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being responsible, go by the rules set by the parents, be honorable and trust worthy. And yes I think cameras should be in every home. In the medical field family put cameras in to make sure their loved ones r safe . It just me and my son he 15 . And I have cameras in my home . And your there to attend to the children not being on phones, your there for there needs. And to treat them like their own parents want u to treat them and follow the rules.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There is not just one. It all of them if it my grandchildren, my young home health clients. My neighbors kids . Everyone of them do funny, corny things, and why not join in I'm 55 . I learn we only live once . And we all wish we can be a kid again. So enjoy your time with them . When they get older they will remember the fun times,
