Activities I enjoy doing with children...
One of my favorite things about being a nanny is that learning can happen almost anywhere. We might sing songs in the car, read books under a tree, build with blocks on the living room floor, or notice letters on a sign while we’re out and about. I love following a child’s interests and turning everyday moments into opportunities for imagination, conversation, and discovery. Of course, we also have plenty of fun with crafts, dramatic play, board games, playground adventures, and whatever new obsession they have that week!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is caring for the children while also supporting the parents. My job is to create a safe, loving environment where children feel encouraged to learn, explore, and simply enjoy being kids. At the same time, I want parents to know they can depend on me. There’s nothing more rewarding than knowing I’ve helped make their day a little easier and that they can come home to happy children and a peaceful home.
My experience with special needs children...
While my professional experience has primarily been with typically developing children, I have had meaningful exposure to children with special needs throughout my career. During my years as an elementary educator, I substituted in special education classrooms and collaborated with special education professionals to support students with diverse learning needs. I have also gained personal experience through my niece, who has special needs, which has deepened my appreciation for the importance of patience, flexibility, and meeting each child where they are developmentally. Although I would not consider myself a special needs specialist, I am eager to learn, follow family and therapy recommendations, and provide compassionate, individualized care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many favorite nanny memories that it’s hard to choose just one, but one that always makes me smile happened when my little 16-month-old friend and I were walking into his My Gym class. We had been having fun playing with letter sounds every day and singing “C Is for Cookie” by Cookie Monster. As we walked up the stairs, he suddenly stopped in front of a sign that was right at his eye level. He pointed to the letter “C” and proudly made the /k/ sound. I remember smiling because it was one of those wonderful moments when you realize a child has made the connection. Seeing learning happen so naturally through play and everyday experiences is one of the things I love most about being a nanny.
Moments like that remind me that children are always learning, and it’s such a privilege to help spark their curiosity and celebrate those little discoveries along the way.

Babysitter Available in Louisville, KY: Marley C.
Hi! I’m Marley, an incoming freshman at the University of Louisville. I have experience caring for children of different ages and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and supportive environment. For about a year, I babysat a 1½-year-old after school while their father underwent cancer treatment. I picked them up from daycare, prepared snacks and meals, planned activities, and also helped care for their 10-year-old sibling. I’ve also been a tutor for the past two years and volunteered throughout high school with students with special needs, working with teens and young adults ages 14–21. During high school, I earned certifications in CPR, First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and Physical Therapy Technician, giving me the skills to respond confidently in emergencies. I’m dependable, patient, and excited to help care for your family!

Full-Time Nanny Available in Louisville, KY: Isabel B.
Hi, I don’t have professional experience, however; I have been around children my whole life and have babysat from a young age. I volunteer at my church’s nursery and watch several kids at once. I frequently babysit my nephew as well.
I think that children are one of the greatest blessings that we have here on earth and they deserve to be cherished and loved.
Despite my young age, I am quite the old lady. I love to bake and cook, as well as crochet and sew. I often go to the local zoo and walk around and love being outside as much as the weather permits. I love putting my phone down and spending time with people.
Remaining faithful to God is a huge part of my life as well.
Thank you.

Live-In Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Louisville, KY: Zaquoya T.
I have 7 years of experience working with children between the ages of 0-14. I love being around children and pre-teens. I have always found myself around children. I could never say no to babysitting growing up, even if it was for free. It is just something that I have ALWAYS enjoyed. It feels very natural to me. I am trained in CPR and AED. I am enrolled in an Advanced Childcare course with the Red Cross to further develop my skills and increase my knowledge! I love taking day trips or sitting at home and being creative. I enjoy reading stories to the babies just as much as I love mentoring pre-teens on life issues like school or friends. I like to also volunteer in my free time. I describe myself as fun but I am stern when need be. I am definitely a social and knowledgeable person. I have an adventurous attitude and I don't give up easily. I will treat your little ones as my own family, with respect and care.

After my tenure with JCPS, I was fortunate to lead a new venture as a Personal Home care Assistant. I manage multiple households for corporate executives who need help coordinating their schedules. I enjoy engaging children in conversation and imaginary or physical play. Music, drama, reading, indoor creative games and physical play are some of my favorite activities. I am comfortable with all aspects of a child's day: morning routine, evening meals, and bedtime. I am willing to provide overnight care, as needed. I stay active daily and have no problem keeping up with toddlers or teenagers! I will enjoy working for a family whose goals for their children.
