My favorite nanny moment, had to be when a 9 year old girl I had cared for invited me to her birthday party. Although it may not seem like much- I am an only child and the positive connections I make with kids means alot to me. Allowing children to establish trust within an adult who is not their parent, is a really special experience that establishes positive attatchment styles in the long run. Knowing that a child feels safe, secure, and loved in my presence is a great joy to me.
