I have babysat many times throughout my life, mainly my cousins who are 5 and 9. My mom is also an elementary art teacher, so I have visited her several times over the years to help out in her classroom.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite things to do with kids are arts and crafts and going to the park/going on a walk - basically anything that gets them creative and active. I also enjoy reading books, watching movies, and cooking with kids (in a safe way of course!).
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny, I believe, should be the safety of the children. Ultimately, parents are putting their trust in you to take care of their kids while they are busy, so ensuring they are safe should always be the priority. Communication is a big part of safety, so I try my best to send updates throughout my time nannying and really appreciate when parents are communicative back. It is always important to have fun, but for me, that has to come second.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments while nannying my 5-year-old cousin were when we would paint together. It was so fun getting to watch him think up the subjects he wanted to paint and see him put them on paper. He would ask me to paint something, and we would just go back and forth. It was super sweet and was a nice way for us to occupy our time.
