Hello, my name is Sydney! I am a patient, compassionate, and dedicated caregiver with 3 years of experience working with children of all ages. A majority of my background in childcare comes from 1.5 spent in providing in-home ABA therapy as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), which has given me a strong foundation in individualized childcare and support. I've also worked in a preschool setting and provided tutoring for children with special needs. I bring warmth and professionalism to every family I work with.

I believe children are our future and have a real passion for supporting them where they are. I am equipped in behavior management and creating a structured yet joyful environment for kids to thrive. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in ABA therapy with autistic children for the last year and a half. Through this, I have experience with a wide range of ages, temperaments, and needs when it comes to childcare. I have also worked in daycares and peer tutoring for special needs students.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts with kids! Giving little ones a chance to express their creativity is very important in my eyes. I love to read stories and play pretend with them. Taking them on outside adventures like to the park or a zoo is another favorite of mine. I love teaching them about plants and animals. Singing is also a must!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being patient and empathetic. Children are learning at their own pace and discovering their independence and personalities. This can lead to misbehavior and hijinks, and while discipline may be necessary at times, it is so important to be gentle yet firm.

My experience with special needs children...

I am currently a Registered Behavior Technician working in ABA therapy with children that have autism. I was a peer tutor for special ed children while I was in high school. I have taught children with mild to severe autism, Down’s syndrome, and severe trauma that effects their function in a classroom.
