Hi! My name is Syd or Sydney and I am a senior at WWU! I am currently finishing up my bachelors in creative writing, education and professional writing. I am a fun loving nanny, I love kids, being out doors and crafting! I'm great at prepping meals, snacks, playtime and making fun crafts. I currently have my own craft buinsess! I would love to work with you! I have nannied most of my life and currently looking more work.

It has always been a life long goal of mine to become a teacher and work with kids, so nannying seems like the perfect fit for a job while I work on my degree!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently it is a camp counselor job where I have care for ages k-5, ive worked closely with 4-5th graders and k-1 graders.

I have also nannied for two kids age 10 and 6 for about 6 months, which only stopped because the school year started again and they where able to go in person.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love going on adventures with kids and being in nature! I think you can learn a lot from being in nature and I also love love love arts and crafts!! I like to print some coloring pages and prepare little crafts throughout the day, its really fun but also makes the kids feel accomplished!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is that the kids feel safe and the kids feel like they had fun and when the parents get home they are a little less stressed from their day.

I try to always clean up and tidy the house making it look better then when they left so its less on their shoulders when they get home, all they can do is wind down and hangout with their kid!

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in a special needs math class for a quarter and thats mainly all the experience I have, i'm hoping to gain more experience as I get further into my degree. I have handled a lot of behavioral special needs in the past and was a great fit for a few kids with ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think my favorite nanny moment was during covid I was nannying for my neighbors and we were really stuck inside all of the time so we made a dance club! We did all the crafts making tickets and flyers, set up the kitchen counter as the entrance and then played just dance for hours!! It was so incredibly fun for all of us!
