I love having the chance to take the children I am watching to the park or to play outside. I also enjoy crafts. I am able to transition quite well from girly to boyish activities and I can meet the inbetweens as well. I am very adaptable and I tend to try my best to engage children in educational and physical activities.

Recently I cared for a 2 year old and he wanted to attempt to play trivial pursuit. in the end we only played with the game board and the colorful pieces but this child was able to learn new colors and objects. Throughout the day I would ask questions to try and refresh these new colors with him and by the end of the day he was able to recall on his own 3 colors that he wasn't comfortable with before. Even though this could be considered a minimal event I left the home with the strongest sense of pride and happiness knowing that by working together, this boy was able to learn and remember something new.
