More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Other than babysitting and nannying I worked in a preschool child development program offered by my high school. In this program, I helped to develop lesson plans and worked one-on-one with a child Tuesday-Thursday. During these days I would be helping them develop a variety of different skills such as fine motor, social, cognitive, etc.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing all sorts of activities with children however my favorite ones would have to be taking them on day trips, making crafts, and playing games such as hide-and-seek and Mario kart.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While there are many obvious options here I think that the most important one is making sure every part of the child/ren is cared for. Keeping them alive is clearly the main task however there is more that goes into caring for a child besides feeding them and providing shelter.
I strive to work with not only the child but also the parents to ensure the social, physical, emotional, etc. needs are met.

My experience with special needs children...
When it comes to special needs children I do not have experience with more severe needs like feeding tubes or tracheostomies. However, I do have experience with ones such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, and mild to moderate developmental delays.
I am particularly well versed when it comes to autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities as my older sister has all three.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My "favorite" would have to be when a 3-year-old took my instructions too literally. It was only my third time sitting for this family and their youngest hated staying in bed for her nap. So when I put her down I told her to stay put and not leave. Well, she listened and did just that. This would have been great except she had to use the bathroom during her nap, and because I told her to stay put she decided to poop right where she was. From that day on I made sure to state when it was ok to get up.
My other favorite nanny moment would have to be when I went out to visit two girls I used to care for that moved away.
I visited them for 5 days and on my last one, I left at 2 which was before school was out meaning I had to say goodbye in the morning. As I was getting them ready the oldest hugged me and asked "how many more seconds until I to see you again?" After I looked it up and told her she then proceeded to start counting. It took everything I had not to cry right then and there.

Babysitter Available in Belmont, NH: Stella B.
Hi! I’m Stella—recent high school grad and current NHTI student working on my gen-eds with plans to transfer. I’ve been babysitting since I was 13, with experience in both one-time and recurring jobs, plus a background as a summer camp counselor for ages 5–14 (especially the littles!). I’m CPR certified and currently earning my First Aid certification.
I’m reliable, super flexible, and bring extra skills from food service and personal assistant work—so I’m happy to help with cooking and light housekeeping. I love arts & crafts, have a theater and improv background, and always bring creativity, fun, and great conversation (especially for bedtime stories!).
I’m just here to make your life a little easier while providing safety, comfort, and fun!

I am in my mid thirties and do not have children of my own due to health issues and am extremely outgoing and enthusiastic! I have experience mostly with children and adults with severe special needs, but not limited to much experience with babies under a year of age. I’m very artistic and love meal prep and housekeeping! I went to Plymouth state university and would be able to provide help with any kind of school work! I love children and would love to make a difference in a families life!
