In addition to babysitting, I worked as a teacher, where caring for children was part of my everyday routine. I supervised classrooms, helped students learn and grow, and built relationships with both children and their families. I’ve also babysat for several families, including children I taught, helping with meals, homework, bedtime routines, and keeping them entertained while maintaining a structured environment.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m a big fan of activities that keep kids engaged and away from screens when possible. I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, board games, baking, outdoor walks, trips to the park, and simple science or learning activities. I also don’t mind helping with homework or just being a listening ear after a long day at school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

For me, being a nanny is about building trust, with both the children and their parents. I want kids to feel safe and cared for, and I want parents to know they can leave the house feeling confident that their children are in good hands.

Through my teaching and childcare experience, I’ve worked with children who have a variety of learning and developmental needs. Every child is different, so I focus on being patient, consistent, and understanding while following the routines and strategies that work best for them. One of my favorite parts of babysitting is seeing a child become comfortable enough to let their personality shine. Whether it’s hearing them proudly read a book on their own (a personal favorite of mine 😊), mastering a new skill, or laughing over a silly game, those little moments are what make childcare so rewarding.
