A little bit about me

One of my greatest strengths is using music and creativity to make learning exciting. I love using music to connect with others it’s a fun way to say “hey I love this too!” I can thrive in chaos that your children may bring because nothing is on schedule all the time when you add little ones to the mix. I enjoy singing with children and creating fun, original songs that help teach letters, numbers, colors, manners, daily routines, and emotional expression. Music encourages language development, memory, and confidence while keeping children actively engaged. I also incorporate imaginative games, storytelling, dancing, arts and crafts, and creative play to strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills. These activities provide healthy physical and mental stimulation, allowing children to expend energy in a positive way, have fun, and establish a relaxing routine that helps prepare them for restful sleep.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Volunteer work for a middle school after school program. The kids indulge in their extra curricular activities and I made sure everyone made it home timely.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Card games, board games, coloring/ painting, hide and seek is always a winner! And hot potato (seems so minuscule until you’re actually in the game) musical chairs is always fun competition. Watching movies is just timeless when you don’t want to be running around and the kids want to relax too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being on the same page with the parents. Knowing your guys’ vision for your children and of course what actually takes place. Where you know they excel the most. Knowing their strengths and set backs, as it helps Nannie’s feel more prepared for your little one’s curveballs throughout the day. From bad days at school. To not liking certain subjects. Or not willing to open up and talk about the day. The most important part is being on the same collaborative page and the same goal in mind for your children; your little people. Who are going to remember their nanny for being there for them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Baking chocolate chip s’mores cookies for a sleepover (this was actually with my younger sister; and she needed to entertain guests so I made fun cookies for her movie night) I like to bake so this was pretty cool.

Brooke C. - Seeking Work in Auburn Hills

Babysitter Available in Auburn Hills, MI: Brooke C.

Hi! I'm Brooke and I was born and raised in Michigan. I'm a student at North Carolina A&T University studying marketing. My two younger siblings and I have quite an age gap which is where I get most of my experience. My younger sister and I have a 9 year age gap. I started babysitting her around the age of 4( me being 13). My younger brother was born during quarantine (me being 16)so I was able to experience all the stages of a newborn and also how I got the nickname mama-sister. Both siblings were very attached to mom and my brother has autism so I am very patient with littles that might need more attention or more time to adjust. I have also volunteered in a few different elementary classrooms. I am currently working to become first aid/ CPR certified. Both should be completed within a couple weeks. I love crafting, music, and nature. I try to include a craft for the kids when I can. I can't wait to get to know you and your littles!
