I taught music at a K-8 private school for two years; prior to that, I ran a successful private violin studio individually teaching twenty children ages 4 through early teens. Through teaching, I learned skills in managing behavior and tailoring my approach to help each child succeed based on their personality and background.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading to children, drawing and coloring together, cooking/baking together, playing games, going to the park, and backyard/outdoor activities such as water play in the summer and building snowmen in the winter. I especially enjoy helping children succeed in skills they want to learn, and I'm happy to help children with tasks such as homework and music practice.
