A little bit about me

I’m 25, I am a momma of 2 wonderful pups! Along with 2 years of experience at a child care center(All About Kids) I am also an older sister to my little brother (9) and little sister (3). As well I am an Aunt of 5 nieces and 1 nephew all between the ages of 1-10 years. I have babysat all of them countless times and can’t put into words how grateful I am to watch them grow. I love working with kids and trying to understand the way their little brains work! Not to mention they are hilarious. After taking such a variety of classes at NKU before graduating, I find them all very useful in their own way when applying direction, leadership and discipline while caring for children. I work hard on being very explanatory towards kids and find it solves or helps most issues when they can be understood... communication is key! I am very patient and kind. It can take me some time to warm up and break out of my shell but I once I get to know you I’m an open book. I look forward to meeting you!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time with kids in general but, Indoors: I love a good board game, crafting is always fun-so many options, movie day can be relaxing, cooking or baking with kids is very good for their development and they love to help, and I’ll even do my fair share of pretend playing.
Outdoors: I’m familiar with lots of sports, I love a good game of tag or hide and seek! Or even just going on an a walk, I enjoy being super active in general so anything outside is always fun. Swimming, bubbles, chalk, jumping into leaves, making snowmen or snow angles!

The most important part about being a nanny...

First and foremost making sure the parents needs are being met by me when it comes to the child’s care. This can look different for some family’s, but for me being able to understand the child and letting them feel safe to fully express their feelings and emotions, while also making sure the child’s physical needs are met as well. I also strongly believe in a routine.

My experience with special needs children...

I have no professional experience with special needs children. I have experience in babysitting a boy with autism serval times. I will say it was challenging but in the right ways, I enjoyed spending time with and caring for him.
