A little bit about me

Taking care of children is easily one of my top favorite things in the world. Children of all ages always amaze me and I love how I can connect with them no matter what age. I'd like to say I'm a very high spirited person who loves to try lots of new things. Listening, communicating, multitasking and note taking are some of my specialties. Thank you for taking your time to read my small introduction! Hope to meet you and your little ones soon!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Growing up I had many babysitting opportunities for school age children, many family members but other kiddos too. In high school I took child development classes that most certainly helped me grow. As I grew closer to graduating high school in 2018, I knew I wanted to work with all the children I could. The Boys and Girls Club was my first real daycare job and it was amazing! Seeing all the different kiddos and getting to work with infants, toddlers and preschoolers was absolutely precious. I still remember some of the kiddos I got to take care of. GFALC was another place where I cared for children. A very homey environment and so many lovely children. Starting a family was something I had wanted since high school. My wants were finally met 11/19/22. Our gorgeous daughter was born! We stayed home for 8m until I started in childcare centers again. I’ve currently been the Lead of 12-18m old kiddos for 2 years now 🙂 I enjoy the children but would love a nannying opportunity!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

There are loads of activities to do with children! With old kiddos we can go outside and ride bike, go swimming, draw with chalk, decorate flower pots and plant flowers, rake leaves and jump into the piles, build snow forts, go sledding, the possibilities are endless! Inside we can make meals together, read, watch movies in a homemade fort, draw and color pictures for mom and/or dad, learn sign language, practice school education but in a fun way like counting your green beans or sorting colors with your fruit loops!

As an infant we can build their sense of safety and security. Snuggle them, help them hold toys, and practice tummy time. Mobile toddlers can start to explore their surroundings by climbing and running. Older toddlers will start to have more self confidence and tell you “no!” lots but it’s all age appropriate 🙂 Playing dress up and building their confidence up is one of my favorite things to do!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being there for kids emotionally is very important to me. Just like us adults, children have feelings too. As kiddos are growing, they need good people around to help guide them emotionally. Children are still trying to figure out why they feel certain ways and having a calm and collected adult to help them through that part in life is crucial.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's difficult to pick a favorite nanny moment. Watching children of all ages accomplish all of the things they're suppose to and more just melts my heart. They're growing and learning and they're so so excited when they accomplish anything. There was a little boy about 3 years old that loved reading, he always had a book in his hand. One day I remember giving him a sign language book with about 10 signs in it and he learned every sign language gesture in about a week! My mind was blown! Wherever the little boy is, I hope he is still reading and expanding his knowledge every single day.
