A little bit about me

My name is Talia Sol and I am 22 years old. This May I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in biology. I am moving to Knoxville for my gap year where I will prepare to apply to masters programs for speech pathology next year. I have taken American Sign Language for years and I am happy to do baby sign or ASL with your child. I have always had a deep love for children and have babysat my entire life, mostly family friends and people through my schools. I am looking forward to my career as a speech therapist, and I will be shadowing one this year as well to gain experience. I am happy to become CPR and first aid certified if required, although I do not currently have that. I love animals and have volunteered at animal shelters my whole love, so i’m looking forward to meeting your pets as well! Let me know if we seem like a good match!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Throughout highschool I babysat as many as 3 families at a time. I helped meal prep school lunches, lightly clean, bedtime, and more. I also have shadowed at a pediatricians office where I learned a lot about children and also aided in basic tasks. This last summer I volunteered as a grade 1 class at a monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, which was an amazing experience! It was an all boys monastery with a variety of ages, and everyone in the class was on different skill levels. I also helped with excursions, first aid, and basic care for the children at the monastery for 3 months.

Going to the park, going for a walk, taking the dog for a walk, going to a library! going to a playground, making fairy houses, creative indoor play, making food together
