My experience with special needs children...
I worked at misrecordia north and south for most of the 1980s and 90s. This is a huge residential home for kids given up to the state because the have severe disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down syndrome, fetal alcoholsyndrome, blind and hearing impaired. Alot of the high functioning residence work at lambs farm and the gift shop and restaurant at Misrecordia.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When a little accomplishes something that they've been struggling with for a while for example eating, walking, talking, writing their name, riding a bike, learning their alphabet, counting to 10, learning to read. Walking is by far my favorite.
