The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and intellectually. I believe in being someone kids can trust and feel comfortable with, while also supporting the parents’ goals and routines. Watching a child grow, learn, and gain confidence — and knowing I played a role in that — is truly the most rewarding part of the job.

I have experience caring for children with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and sensory processing challenges. I’ve learned how to be patient, observant, and responsive to their unique needs, while creating a calm and structured environment. I focus on building trust, using positive reinforcement, and offering activities that are both engaging and developmentally appropriate. I also maintain open communication with parents to ensure consistency and support.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was when a 4-year-old I cared for surprised me by making me a “thank-you card” out of construction paper after we spent the afternoon doing crafts and building a blanket fort. She told me I was her “best friend for life.” It was such a sweet reminder of how impactful those small, everyday moments can be when you’re helping children feel safe, loved, and creative.
