Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve had experience working with kids in both professional and family settings. I spent time working at an afterschool program, where I helped supervise and care for children of different ages. While I had support from other staff, I also took on responsibilities such as making sure the kids were fed meals, assisting with homework, and ensuring they had a safe and comfortable environment. We also built daily routines that included nap times and quiet times, which gave me wonderful experience in helping children transition smoothly between active play and rest!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading books together and encouraging imagination! Arts & crafts (drawing, painting, coloring, making simple DIY projects). Playing educational games and puzzles, helping with homework and creating fun activities, outdoor playing (playground, ball games, nature walks), building with blocks, legos, or other hand on toys, and baking or cooking safe recipes together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment for the kids to grow and feel truly cared for. It’s more than just watching over them, it’s about building trust with the families as well. Children thrive when they feel secured and valued, so i believe patience, consistency, and open communication. It also means working closely with parents as a team, making sure their wishes are respected, and keep them updated so they always feel confident in the care their child is receiving. Ultimately, i believe the heart of being a nanny is love, patience, and responsibility. Because when children know they are cared for, they can flourish in every way!

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had meaningful experience caring for children with special needs, particularly through my own family and close friends. One of my cousins is a 4 year old with autism, and I’ve been deeply involved in his care since he was little. Because of my patience and gentle approach! My family often turns to me when he needs extra attention. He feels comfortable and safe with me a lot of the time, and it’s been rewarding to see how much he’s grown and learned over the years whenever we spend time together! In addition, I’ve also cared for a close friend’s daughter, who had special needs as well. She got very attached to me overtime, and her family often told me how much they appreciated the patience and calm energy I brought. They felt comfortable enough leaving her in my care because i understood how to meet her where she was, while still keeping her engaged and happy!

The most important part about being a nanny...

some of my favorite moments with kids come from time spent with my two nieces, and my 4 year old cousin, they loveee coming over to my house, and the moment they come over, all they want to do is talk to me, play, and share everything thats on their minds. I treasure those moments so much! I also love surprising them with little gifts or treats, whether it’s something fun to play with, activities we can do together, or just something that’ll make them smile!
