Hey! My name is Ta’Myia, but you can call me Myia. I’m 23 years old with a B.S. in Psychology. I’m currently earning my M.S. in Psychology with a concentration in child development. I decided to pursue psychology because I would love to be a child psychologist. My main inspiration for this career path is that I want to be a child advocate for children in need. Sometimes they just need someone that will help them process their feelings. Currently, I work at a daycare; prior to becoming a daycare teacher, I was a registered behavior technician (working with children with autism.) I also have experience with type 1 diabetes and overseeing insulin injections. My niece was diagnosed 9 years ago so I am quite educated when it comes to type 1 diabetics.
