I volunteered for a Christmas event in 2024 where there were tons of kids. I got them the perfect gifts and made their day. I also had to escort some kids around because they didn't know the location well.
Just recently, I was at the beach and was watching over a 2-year-old who kept running into the ocean(and running away from his mother), as well as a 3-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 9-year-old from that family. I also watched a 7-year-old that same day(it's a lot i know...)

My experience with special needs children...
Three years ago, I attended an event where a 7-year-old autistic boy named Tatum was running around while his mother tried to catch up with him. She saw me looking with concern and asked me to go after him. I caught up to him and grabbed him gently, enough not to startle him. He calmed down almost instantly around me. It was as if he had known me for a long time. I watched over him for the rest of the time being. When the event ended, his mother told me that he was the calmest he had been.
Also, since I was in 5th grade, I was watching the children with special needs at my school(despite some of them being older than me.)

When I was watching 7-year-old Tatum, and he was running around with boundless energy. He did keep taking my Rice Krispies treats, though.
