Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 10+ years working with children. I have had my own in-home daycare, worked in 2 child care centers, was a nanny/respite staff, and am a registered behavior tech. In the daycare and child care settings, I mainly worked with toddlers through age 4. I do have experience with infants and school age children through my child care and nanny adventures. Through doing ABA therapy as a Registered Behavior tech, I have experience with ages ranging from 3 to 19.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Walks, playing at the playground, sensory bins, arts and crafts, cooking, playing outside in a green space, indoor playgrounds, swimming and wading pools, help to teach chores and being able to do things for themselves.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Scaffolding learning as the child is developing. You see where they are comfortable at with any skill or activity, then challenge them with a little higher task. Giving them confidence, praise, and reassurance while watching them bloom as a human is beyond words rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Favorite moment as a nanny was swimming with 6 of the 7 kids. I want alone, yet the kids wanted to "swim" with me. "Swim" was them being on my back while I walked in the 3-5ft area. At the beginning of the summer they'd cling and cry. Yet by the end of the summer, one was jumping off the diving board, two were swimming, and one was walking in the 3 ft water by himself. Proud nanny moment.
