A little bit about me

I'm a caring and responsible person with a true love for working with children. I have two adult children ages 26 and 21. I also have a food handlers license with confidence in preparing healthy meals. Every summer I get my nieces and nephews to do fun outdoor activities with them and help with giving them a fun summer break from school. I enjoy planning activities that support learning and growth. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and encouraging. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of child development and the importance of creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment and I truly value building bonds with the children I care for. I was employed at Howard University for the past seven years. I have summer and winter breaks off. I didn't always have child care so I was a stay at home Mom until they were old enough to stay home while I went to work. Being a single Mom was sometimes hard so I would like to help others.
