Alongside this, I also have hands-on experience with babysitting, caring for children of various ages. The activities I most enjoy doing with children include creative play like arts and crafts, drawing, and building projects, as well as outdoor activities such as playing games, going for walks, and staying active. I also enjoy helping with homework and learning activities, making sure it feels fun and not overwhelming for them. Reading stories, imaginative play, and simple games are some of my favorites because they help build connection and keep kids engaged. I always try to choose activities based on each child’s interests so they feel excited, included, and supported while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of nannying and babysitting is creating a safe, trusting, and supportive environment for the children. Kids should feel comfortable, cared for, and able to be themselves while knowing they are being looked after responsibly. Building trust with both the children and the parents is key, along with maintaining clear communication and consistency. It’s also important to balance safety with fun making sure the children are engaged, happy, and learning while always being properly supervised and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience supporting children with special needs through caring for my cousins, which has helped me develop patience, understanding, and adaptability. I’ve assisted with their daily routines, helped keep them on schedule, and supported them in activities suited to their individual needs. I understand the importance of clear communication, consistency, and creating a calm, safe environment.

Through this experience, I’ve learned how to be attentive to different behaviors, provide emotional support, and adjust activities to match each child’s abilities and comfort level. One of my favorite parts of babysitting is spending quality time playing games with the kids. Growing up watching my siblings, I’ve always loved moments where we can just have fun together, whether it’s playing outside or inside. Games like hide and seek, red light green light, tag, or even dodgeball are always a hit. I also enjoy winding down by watching movies together, which is a great way to relax and bond. I really enjoy seeing everyone laugh, be themselves, and create those funny, genuine moments. Those are the times that make babysitting so rewarding for me because it builds connection and keeps things fun and positive for the kids.
