More About Me
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe communication and safety are the main two important aspects when it comes to nannying. Respect goes with it. Communication with the babes’ parents are the most important, obviously behind safety. But these come in a package in my eyes. Every child is different, and being adaptable and flexible to any child’s needs, is a must.
Respect in child care is so important, as most people wouldn’t want anyone else caring for their children- it’s crucial for me to have a clear understanding of the child’s needs (if need be) such as sleeping schedules, goals for the parent or child that we can work towards (motor skills, alphabets, etc) and outdoor activities, etc. i am a strong believer in outdoor classrooms, and kind of a hippy for homeschooling and d.i.y.‘s

My experience with special needs children...
I have had light experience with our little ones with special needs. My aunt has 2 babes under the age of 5 who have autism and adhd I would help babysit and care for them sometimes. In addition I also had a neighbor who I spent lots of time with who had the sweetest little brother who was also on the spectrum (rainbow as I like to call it) but he had autism as well. And working with him, coloring, and putting together puzzles were some of the things we’d do.
