I incorporate both Montessori and Reggio Emilia based practices in my work, this involves a lot of hands on learning to promote cognitive development, fine motor skills, and increase a child's natural curiosity. Some favorite activities include, exploring in nature, going to the beach for sensory play in the sand, and also getting messy in the kitchen.

Everything, truly, everything. Nannies play such an integral role in a young child's life because of their brain development happening during these key years, it is so important to be the best model possible for these little humans. Being respectful to the child, honoring their feelings and big emotions, expressing good manners, teaching consent, are just some of the many important factors that I believe should be modeled and continually reinforced to a young, growing child.

I have worked with numerous families and all have brought me special memories that will last a life time. I love to laugh and the children I take care of are really good at filling my days with laughter and love. One special memory I have is of one of my nanny kiddos referring to the character Woodstock (from the Peanuts) as Chickenstock, this was years ago, and it still brings a smile to my face when I am reminded of it.
