I took care of my younger siblings while my mom was at work. I cooked for them, I cleaned the house, and I kept them out of trouble.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing outside. Playing tag playing with bubbles, playing pretend, sports games (soccer, basketball, racing, etc). I also love playing board games usually whenever I go to anyone's house I bring an activity or two to do while I'm there. I also love playing video games I have a system that I might bring depending on what the parent might say... I also enjoy painting with children , teaching them different styles and art forms. I own a sewing machine and could teach whoever wants to learn. I also enjoy teaching kids how to crochet and knit ( if they want to learn ofc).
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is understanding the children. Listening to the child's needs will make it so much easier to take care of them without you feeling like you need to rip your hair out. Also, having patience is the second most important thing about being a good nanny. Every child runs at their own pace and a good nanny will meet them where they are and work with them, not against.
My experience with special needs children...
I have an autistic younger brother that I practically raised by myself who is high on the spectrum. We lived in the same room with each other for about 13 years. I understand that patience and love is needed to take if special needs children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Honestly the funniest moment I can think of with kids is getting them to eat their vegetables 😂. Some will just sit there and stare at you for hours instead of eating their broccoli.
