I coached children (ages 4-7) in cheerleading. I loved coaching and teaching children! I learned many new skills and lessons.

I am a very crafty person so I love coloring, drawing and painting. I also love the outdoors so I love going on walks, reading outside, playing with scooters or bikes, or even just playing with the dogs outside! I can also help with homework and reading!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a nanny is making a connection with the kid(s). No one wants to hangout with someone they don’t know or like! So, I would take the time to make a true connection and get to know the kid(s) throughout the process!
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had any paid experience with special needs children. However, I have a sister with special needs that I have taken care of and experienced my whole life. I know how to deal with certain situations, outbreaks, moods etc.

I worked at the ymca for three or four years as a camp counselor, in “child watch” and as a swim instructor. In camp we would watch the kids all day every day they came for the summer and have fun activities for them. In child watch we would babysit the kids if the parents were using the facilities, so only for a few hours. Then swim instructing we would teach them how to swim day by day just getting them comfortable to the water. I’ve also babysat all my life including while my mom was a passworker, my nieces, and family friends. I currently work at a kids hair salon so I’m still getting experience with kids!
