More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Baby sat children for 3 consecutive years when I was 13-16, as well as CPR and AED certified when I was lifeguarding and in charge of kid's club at my previous job for 3+ years. When there is a baby or child around, they feel a sense of security and safeness around me allow me to connect with them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I'm very crafty and love helping children find ways to grow on a daily basis. If it means taking them to a park, enjoying nature, arts and crafts, or even reading, I try my best to make sure they are taken care of.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is knowing what needs to be done next when watching over them, but that comes with knowing how to be responsible for yourself and the little one, so no accidents happen. It means knowing how to act when something isn't right, knowing when it's time for a kid to eat when they just got done using a lot of energy, or knowing how to be a role model to a kid whose brain is still developing.

My experience with special needs children...

I have little experience with kids who have special needs. But always learning how to be better.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was working with 2–4-year-old kids, and I would spend time with them listening to how they were learning. I spent so much time with this specific child that after 3 years, she always asked me if when she got older, she could still stay in touch. Little moments seeing kids grow and watch them become smart individuals means a lot. They watch our every move and mimic what we do. If I can be a role model or show some kind of responsibility where they want to be better, I've done my job.
