My experience with disabilities has shaped the way I care for children. I have a few disabilities myself, and I’m involved in research projects where I work closely with people who have a wide range of disabilities. Because of this, I’ve always felt called to work with kids who have disabilities. I understand the importance of patience, communication, and meeting each child where they are.
