More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked in various childcare roles throughout my career as a special needs personal care attendant, an ABA Therapist, an Online ESL Teacher with VIPKID, a Registered Behavior Technician (in-home, school, and in-clinic settings), and babysitting.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love planning engaging and educational outings with the children I have cared for. I have experience taking children out for activities such as going to the beach and pool, attending swimming lessons, park, going on color walks, going to the zoo, museums, outdoor play, games, puzzles, crafts, and activities that naturally fall into the family routine and within the interests of the child/children. I have unique experience with teach teens/young adults with special needs how to grocery shop, order and pay for their own food at restaurants, pump gas, and attend social gatherings, as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is being a dependable, trustworthy, and nurturing presence for both the children and their family. Children need someone they can rely on for safety, consistency, and support, and parents need to know they can trust you to follow routines, handle challenges calmly, and provide a loving environment. Being dependable means showing up fully, being attentive, and creating a stable space where children can thrive and families feel supported.

My experience with special needs children...

I have extensive experience supporting individuals with a variety of special needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, and related physical, mental, and learning disabilities. I have worked in home, school, and clinic settings, and have provided teaching and support within the natural environment to help individuals develop skills and confidence in daily life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve had so many favorite moments as a caregiver that it’s hard to pick just one. What I love most about this role is watching the children I care for develop new skills through play and knowing that I’m helping to ease the load for their parents.
