My experience with special needs children...
I’ve cared for a child with adhd/dipolar disorder it was very difficult at first getting to learn the child and understanding what helps keep the child calm and feeling safe . Medication was very MANDATORY in his case it had to be given on time the correct dosage. I had to sit with him for about 10 minutes Nd basically convince him it was okay to take the meds and I’ve had to check under the tongue and around the gums to check that he swallowed it completely.
