"Teresa (“Reese”) is wonderful and amazing. I felt like she was Mary Poppins and a second mom to my kids rolled into one. She did great with them across the age ranges (my son was 8 mo old when she started and 5 at the end, and she took care of my daughter from 3 months old also), really attentive to developmental milestones and encourage independence, very proactive, but also just warm and fun, lots of art, silly games, outdoor time, and fun. We trusted her completely."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am a certified preschool teacher in the state of North Carolina with my credentials 1&2, first aid and CPR certified. Before becoming a nanny, I worked as a preschool teacher, nannying in the evenings. I would pick kids up from school and transport them to various after school activities. From there I made the transition into full time nannying. I've worked with lots of multiples, twins, triplets, siblings and nanny shares where the kids were different ages. I'm big on getting out for walks, trips to the museum or library, even just running small errands.
I also love art, baking/cooking, and gardening with kids and in my off time. Sensory play is also big in my book, making goop, slime, pudding and jello sensory boxes to get messy in!
I've worked with lots of infants, most of the families I was with long term, their children ranged in age from 2 1/2 months to 7 months old when I started, ending when it was time for preschool. So I've also had lots of experience with toddlers too!

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being consistent and having open communication and expectations with the parents.
My experience with special needs children...
I've worked with children who have autism, on both ends of the spectrum. Behavioral challenges. Premature babies, children who are behind on development as far as reaching milestones. Children who need daily PT exercises done. Working with children who need to wear pediatric braces.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The first time I gave one of my long term families baby blueberries. He had a blueberry smile that literally went from cheek to cheek, with the biggest smile on his face!
