A little bit about me

Hi! I`m Teri, 27 from Columbus, Mississippi now living in Hoover, AL. I am currently a preschool teacher working with 18mth-3yr olds. I often babysit for the families I care for. During the pandemic I was a part time nanny for a 2 children ages 4 and 7. I am reliable, honest and loving. The private school that I teach for is aimed towards a social-emotional learning environment which has become very important to me. I feel as though I would be much more than just a nanny, but also a resource and ally for families. Although my current work experience is in early childhood development, I have spent time working with children of all ages in various roles. I have been an after school counselor for 4th and 5th graders. I have also worked at a group home providing care for abused, abandoned and/runaway children ages 10-17. I believe it is important to build healthy relationships with children that are rooted in trust and mutual respect.
