More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes over 4 years as a private nanny, where I cared for children of all ages and assisted with diaper changes, feeding, meal preparation, school drop-offs and pick-ups, homework, bedtime routines, and engaging educational and recreational activities. I also worked as a Behavior Technician, providing one-on-one care for children with autism and developmental disabilities, where I supported behavior goals, administered medication when needed, assisted with potty training, feeding, play-based learning, and daily routines. In addition, I completed my pediatric clinical at Hasbro Children's Hospital, caring for infants and children while working alongside nurses to provide safe, compassionate, family-centered care. These experiences have made me patient, dependable, adaptable, and confident caring for children with a wide range of needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity and learning. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, reading books, outdoor play, trips to the park, baking, puzzles, board games, sensory activities, music and dancing, imaginative play, and helping with homework. I also enjoy teaching life skills, encouraging independence, and creating a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn while having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe a nanny should be someone children can rely on for support, encouragement, and guidance while giving parents complete peace of mind. Building a strong relationship with the family, communicating openly, and treating every child with patience, kindness, and respect are what matter most to me. My goal is to help children feel happy, confident, and cared for while supporting their growth and development every step of the way.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working one-on-one with children with autism and developmental disabilities as a Behavior Technician. Every child is unique, so I learned to adapt my approach to meet each child's individual needs, communication style, and personality. My responsibilities included supporting behavior goals, assisting with daily routines, diaper changes, feeding, medication administration when needed, potty training, homework, play-based learning, and encouraging independence. Through this experience, I've developed patience, empathy, and the ability to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment where children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was watching one of the children I cared for grow over the four years I was with their family. Being there for so many milestones, celebrating their accomplishments, and seeing their personality and confidence develop was incredibly rewarding. Building such a close bond with both the children and their parents reminded me that being a nanny is so much more than childcare—it's about becoming a trusted part of a family's life and making a positive impact on a child's growth and happiness.
