I was a camp facilitator for children at Camp Expresate at the California Center for The Arts, Escondido. I was recently a facilitator for Treobytes where I taught students basic robotics and coding.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoors, we play puzzles, read books, do homework if needed, watch TV and play with toys (cars, trucks, Legos, blocks etc.) Outside we walk around the neighborhood or go to an indoor playground, or go to the park and play soccer.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are fine and are having fun. Sometimes it's a bad day but I ultimately care if they are fine.
My experience with special needs children...
Not as expansive but I have some experience watching a cousin on the autism spectrum. They were quiet and not really fussy and loved to play with Legos and read books and just spend time with us.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My baby cousin is learning to talk and we love when he says a word clearly or when he shares his toys with us.
