Hello, my name is Theresa but you can call me Reese. I’m 26 years old, and I have a passion of working with children. I’m fully vaccinated (including booster). I am planning to go back to school for nursing, more specifically labor and delivery. I’m the oldest of 7 grandchildren, and I helped raise each of my younger siblings and cousins growing up. I have more than 10 nieces and nephews of my own that I absolutely adore and love spending time with, and I look forward to loving the time spent with and adoring your child(ren) too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s being part of something bigger than the job itself. The children we look after today, are the same children that could become doctors, scientists, maybe even the president of the United States, and to be a part of that journey is something to be proud of. Being the best you for the children of today is going to help develop and show these children that they can do ANYTHING they put their mind to!

My experience with special needs children...

Back in 5th and 6th grade, I would volunteer to do different things instead of gym or technology that was provided to everyone. The volunteering consisted of library aide, but more importantly I volunteered at KCCS (Kent County Community School) located in Dover, DE. It was a school for children with special needs that was connected right to William Henry. I did this twice a week for 2 years, and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it. I would go in and talk to the other children, play games, and just listen about their day! I would help with school work that had to be done, and always reassure that if they ever needed help with anything that I would be there!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Honestly it’s hard to pick just one, and that’s because each child has given me a favorite moment for a different reason. Not all kids are the same, and being able to see how two children of the same family are complete and total opposites in their behaviors and ways of thinking is just amazing to me! I thoroughly enjoy just being able to watch children be themselves without a care in the world.
