Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am the oldest of 5 kids so I grew up constantly helping my parents with my siblings. I also helped out in my churches nursery growing up and started babysitting at the age of 15. I was a full time day nanny for many years in college. Additionally, I have worked as a newborn care specialist & sleep consultant and have cared for over 200 families. I also have a 2.5 year old little girl.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading, playing games, arts and crafts, playing outside, exploring, swimming...etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is understanding the huge role and responsibility that comes a long with it. Being a nanny is more than a job, caring for children is so important and I think that a nanny becomes a part of the family. She keeps things flowing in the home and maintains the safety and development of the child. I have had the chance to be a part of many different families and I have absolutely loved my job, it is a job I take very seriously and have been honored to have!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with many autistic children, and I have also worked with infants on gtubes and or oxygen.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have loved being able to watch the children I have nannied for in the past grow up. It is very rewarding to see them grow over the years and remember me, and remember the things I did with them. It really makes my job all worth it.
