I worked for about 2 years at a daycare in the nursery. I’ve babysat since I was about 12 on my own. I’ve helped care for & been around babies & children all of my life. :)

Playing games & doing just about any activity that they enjoy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel that it’s making sure that they’re as safe & as happy as possible. That means taking care of their needs & keeping a watchful eye on them. It involves being ready to do my best to protect them from whatever or whoever might harm them. The parents should be able to see & trust that I’d do that. Also, part of keeping them happy means that we have some fun together for sure. :)

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had some experience with children who have Autism or ASD, ADHD, ODD, hearing issues, asthma & certain allergies, premature babies, twins, or who were victims of abuse or dealing w/ very stressful situations.

The most important part about being a nanny...

That’s tough. One of my favorites was when I got to take a 3 yo lil boy that I was watching outside to watch the sunset & then to see the moon & stars. He loves the sky & he remembered that time spent together over a yr later. :)
