I have my CDA in infant/toddler care and am currently working on my bachelor's in education at GCU. I was in the childcare field 25+ years. I was a nanny for a family in Scottsdale for 7 years, two from birth. I stayed with the family until the youngest went to kindergarten. I continue to see them, and take them out on day dates. Up until I relocated to Washington State. To the state of Arizona at the first of the year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love outings that are age appropriate with children that are in my care. In the past I've taken kids to the zoo, museums and aquariums. I love to watch them, learn and grow in a fun environment. It is and always at home or in the classroom. I also like to look for extra curricular activities such as gymnastics, swimming and library time!

The most important part of being a nanny is becoming a positive part of not only the child's life, but the families. It's important that the nanny and the family have the same goals for the child's life and that they work as a team to help them meet their schools.

The most important part about being a nanny...

After nanning for the same family for so long, there are so many moments that made me proud! One that stands out to me was the little guy being so afraid of the water during swim lessons that I thought we were never going to get there. He would hold on to me in complete and utter fear. Until one day. All the kids were jumping off the side and he looked me in the face and said "I do it now" and jumped into the water, coming up with a huge smile on his face.
