I would say give all your love to the children you work with! They will remember all the love you give them! Also your stepping in while the parents are away, so treat those children as of they were your own! Give them all the attention and care!
My experience with special needs children...
Worked with a child with cerebral palsy, and she was deaf. Learned some sign language to communicate with her, and worked with her on daily living skills, behavioral skills, and homework, baking, dressing, bathing, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I worked with a 1 year old who loved to draw on herself and put stickers on me! Such a creative and fun kid to work with! She also loves her baby dolls!
