Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a sitter since I was 12. Started my own babysitting business at 13. Continued to nanny off and on ever since. I began FT nannying again the middle of 2015. I was working with 3 to 4 families PT then. My most recent job long term FT nannying job started March 2017- January 2020. Only ended because my little ones grandfather moved in with them and he also started PT daycare. 😢 I have experience with all ages from newborns to teens as well as special needs. CPR
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Drawing, coloring, painting, building with blocks and other things, making tents/forts, playing dress up, age specific learning activities and lessons, dancing, singing, reading, going for walks, going to the playground or outside of their home to play in sandbox, pool, water hose, Really Any safe activity they enjoy, encouraging and supporting the particular interests and activities that are important and bring joy to that particular child!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Watching the child change, grow, seeing the wonderment and innocence in their eyes that only children can possess, seeing and teaching them new things, seeing them smile and laugh! Continuing to help them become Wonderful, Good, Loving and caring little people and hopefully forming a very special bond along the way!!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with little ones with physical disabilities as well as developmental, mental and emotional. I truly enjoy helping little ones with any special needs to feel good about themselves, learn and achieve new things/goals, smile as much as possible and just prosper!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories was when my 'little man' from a recent longtime job (who by the way began calling me TT as soon as he learned to talk)just all of a sudden began to say and do all the mannerly things we'd been practicing, encouraging and saying were an extremely important part of life!! The day I remember the most was the day we were deciding what to do and he looked at me and said "TT can we Please go to the park today??" Then when we were leaving the house for the park he held the front door open for me (yes my little guy holding the giant and heavy door)all because he was being and doing the polite things he'd learned. Those were some Very Memorable, Exciting and Extremely proud moments that I'll Always treasure!!
