More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I worked at a daycare as a daycare assistant , teacher , food prep , cook and activity director . I supervised our sleepovers , chaperoned our field trips and outside activities and adventures . I was a tutor for 6 years as well , and worked with prekindergarten to middle schoolers . I have my own experience at home with my two children , and a supportive mother who looks after them when mommy has to work and provide and they are very understanding kids .
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
For indoors , I bring mini easel’s and paint for art sessions with the kids . I save their pictures to remember their individual uniqueness , also for the kids to make pictures for their parent’s . They like board games , memory/picture games , exercise their minds , but not over stimulate . I host movie nights , popcorn , kid movies , and snacks like a theater . The girl’s like playing with dolls creating their own imaginable scenes , music and dance parties . I bring out my childhood games , like monopoly for example . A lot of kids get lost in the internet , so as a sitter I like to remind children how to have fun without the internet and screen time , but not to completely isolate them from it . For outdoors ? I like taking the kids for walks , tag is a big one , and so is the park ! For my younger kids I like to keep them close to home so I find activities for their own backyards . I find their interest and create a way to make it fun. I’ve learned Kids love to learn if it’s fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important thing about being your nanny is providing a safe , Loving and nurturing environment for your children in my care . Ensuring physical safety , fostering a positive emotional and developmental environment , meeting and attending to basic or even challenging needs . Strong communication , trust , and a genuine passion for childcare are also essential.
My experience with special needs children...
I am most experienced with children with autism , but I have also worked with cerebral palsy , dwarfism , and other disabilities . I do have referrals from the parents of the children I have cared for , if need be . I also have a lot of knowledge when it comes to children with disabilities in which I believe makes me a great asset to parents of those in particular .
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a very unique situation where the mother was set on her child not warming up to me , saying every single nanny she’d tried to hire the child would immediately reject the then back to back . Something told me to wing it , so I asked the mom for an empty room and a chair . It is called my secret box from a SpongeBob episode ! I had a box that I made to collect sensory and fidget toys inside . I sat in the chair , I held the box and introduced myself . The child looked at me with a short smile and stared at the box . It took about 10 minutes or so for the child to fully enter the room , but I just kept peeking in the box and closing it like it was the most interesting thing ever . The mom already hinted that he normally wouldn’t go this long without a tantrum brewing so I was in good faith . The child finally came to the box he laid his hand on it , I handed it over and he excepted with a smile . Everyday after we started with the box trick . On my last day I gave him the box !

I am a caring and responsible nanny with extensive experience caring for children of all ages. As the oldest of eight siblings, I played a major role in helping raise my younger brothers and sisters, which gave me a strong foundation in childcare, patience, and understanding children’s needs.
I have worked with children throughout my life and currently study Psychology while working in mental health with adults. This has strengthened my attentiveness, communication skills, and ability to understand behavior and emotional needs.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Stockton, CA: Johanna C.
Hello families my name is Johanna, ive taken a interest in nannying and babysitting ever since i was younger, maybe because i grew up with 6 younger siblings ages ranging from 10 months to 14 years old. I love to cook and clean on my free times. When im not cooking or cleaning i am working or in school i attend Delta College here in Stockton CA and i work at In N Out so ive always been an active and kind person. I love kids because they can be so funny and so smart. I can cook anything from a sandwich to soups and pastas u grew up in a hispanic household so my mom taught me lots of what i know to cook. I believe parents should always have help even when they are too scared or embarrassed to ask for it. I believe that sometimes parents just need to get away and distract themselves from their everyday life but cant because of their kiddos and i want to help out with that because i as a older sister understands my mom and try my best to help out those who need help.
