At a young age, I spent 2 summers at my aunt's house caring for her baby and doing light cleaning.

To me, the most important part about being a nanny is making kids feel seen and cared for. It's also important to be to have kind kids in this world. It's a plus that kids are a chance to reimagine the world and see things in a new, bright set of eyes.

I worked, and still pick up shifts, at a home for low functioning adults with developmental disabilities. It was my joy to make them feel happy and healthy every day, through preparing their meals, using communication books, assisting with all hygienic care, creating activities, etc.
