More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteered at my church on Sunday’s and some Saturday nights for CCV Kids for 2.5 years when I was in high school. I worked for CFSS with behavioral needs for 1 year. I did part time as an After School Care Teacher for 1.5 at my old middle school. I babysat, an adult that was autistic, just independent caring. He was able to do a lot on his own, I was there to watch him and keep him company when mom was attending business needs, and or important errands.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Im from Arizona, so I love being outdoors. It’s very healing and relaxing. I like going on walks with the kids, playing card games, I like coloring, doing yoga, playing board games, painting, I like meditating. I like playing affirmations; we create positive affirmations based on the things, kids doubt themselves about. Whether it’s a skill they have, a hobby they love, a smart idea, etc.

I like implementing their hobbies and what they’re good at with self care. Self care is needed for balance.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would have to be when parents tell me that their kids really liked my approach on something, whether I listened to them to understand, or I gave them great advice. Parents often tell me that their kid asks about me a lot, lol. It shows that they see me, because I don’t see myself as above them, I see myself as with them.

Another time would be when the kids share what they’ve learned to their parents, and they get all excited and they don’t want me to leave, lol. I always tell them, knowledge is power, it’s priceless. So be a sponge and soak up all the good knowledge.
