More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started babysitting when I was around 10 years old, watching my younger siblings, neighbors, and family friends. I continued babysitting throughout high school, and during my senior year I was a nanny for a 7-year-old girl named Ava. After starting college, I joined a few nanny agencies and have continued working with different families through them. The summer going into my junior year of college, I worked as a full-time nanny for a 6-year-old boy named Greg. Last summer I also worked as a nanny and picked up several short-term positions with different families. Over the years I’ve cared for many children and worked with many families, and it’s something I truly love doing.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything outdoors, reading books, painting, drawing, going to the park, doing crafts, playing games, and finding fun activities to keep kids entertained and active. I also enjoy helping with homework when needed.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is building a strong and trusting relationship with the children. I think it’s really important that kids feel safe, supported, and comfortable being themselves. I also believe in helping children learn how to be kind to others and stand up against things like bullying. The early years are such an important time in a child’s development, and everything they learn and experience during that time can shape who they become. Being able to play a small role in helping them grow, learn, and build confidence is something that means a lot to me.
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat my neighbor during my high school years with special needs and I still have a case relationship with this family.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The family I nannied for during my senior year of high school became very comfortable with me. A few times I watched Ava (who was 7) and her friends during playdates and took them to different activities. I loved building such a close relationship with her since I saw her almost every day. One of my favorite things was when she would make me little crafts at school and give them to me.

I am a young professional looking to work with families to help with childcare and the home. I have been babysitting since 15 when I got certified through the hospital in my town. Since then, I have had random babysitting gigs here and there and babysat my four younger siblings as well. I am comfortable with all ages and get along with everyone I meet. I am dependable and available as I want to explore nannying as more of a permanent job while I have recently left my job in hospitality management.
