I have nannied for three different families over the past four summers, with children ranging from 1 to 13 years old. I have a degree in Elementary Education and one year of teaching experience at the third grade level. I regularly volunteer in my church's nursery, caring for children under 1 year old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I belive that it's incrediblty important to build independence and confidence in children's basic life skills from an early age. I love including children in activities like cooking, basic cleaning, dressing themselves, and making their beds. Implementing these skills early on builds autonomy and confidence as well as fine and gross motor skills.
I love getting children outside as much as possible, whether that be in a backyard, local parks, or adventuring to walking trails.
I also enjoy doing arts and crafts, practicing writing and reading, and creative science experiments.
