More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My most meaningful position caring for children was working as the afterschool daycare coordinator at a private school in Newport Beach, CA (Carden Hall). Two aids and I were in charge of 20-30 children in the age ranges between kindergarten and 8th grade. I loved playing games with them and actively sought ways to make aftercare fun. I created and organized games, crafts, and other activities.

I also worked as a life coach at a behavioral health residential home for teenage girls (Embark at Hobble Creek). For each shift, I was in charge of 2-3 girls and helped them complete their therapeutic assignments. I also engaged in activities with the girls to help create positive and meaningful experiences.

Additionally, I have babysat younger children ranging from a couple of months old to age 13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, going on nature walks, playing outside, swimming, going on picnics, visiting playgrounds, coloring, reading books, visiting libraries, visiting educational places (museums, zoos, aquariums, etc.), going to the beach, riding bikes/scooters, engaging in imaginative play, cooking, and baking.

Providing a stable and loving environment for each child. Recognizing that each child has different needs based on their unique personality and stage of development. Helping children learn, grow, and discover the world and theirselves by creating an atmosphere where positive experiences can happen.
