In 2018 I started working with special needs adults & children. Transporting them to school, appointments, and anywhere else they needed to go. I also worked one on one with people who needed assistance as well as encouragement to get out into the world, by taking them to job fairs to become more independent.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor activities I enjoy doing with children is assisting them in arts & crafts, learning to organize (depending on their age), and dance breaks!!! Outdoor activities I enjoy to do with children is of course the park when it’s nice out, go for walks, and water fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being that I am a mother, I understand needing personal time or having to work and not have a nanny or someone to help you with your children, but I would do anything to provide for my child just as the parents needing a nanny are doing. I love children and seeing them all happy puts a smile on my face!
My experience with special needs children...
I realized I was interested in this field after taking care of special needs children/teens and adults, people of all ages. No matter the age, you treat them as family and of course with respect.
