Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have professional childcare experience working in early childhood education settings with children ranging from 6 weeks old through preschool age. I previously worked as a Lead Teacher and have experience creating developmentally appropriate activities, maintaining daily routines, supporting social-emotional development, and providing a safe and nurturing environment. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and am currently continuing my education at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy creating fun, developmentally appropriate activities based on each child’s age and interests. Some of my favorites include arts and crafts, sensory play, fine-motor activities, reading, music and movement, simple science activities, imaginative play, and outdoor play. I love incorporating learning through play while still giving children plenty of opportunities to be creative, explore, and have fun! 🌈🧸

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I believe in building trust with both the child and their family while providing dependable care, encouragement, patience, and opportunities to learn and grow. My goal is to become someone the family can truly rely on and someone their child feels safe, happy, and comfortable with.

I have experience caring for children with autism as well as children with developmental delays. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, individualized support, and adapting activities and routines to meet each child’s unique needs. I strive to create a supportive, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child feels comfortable and encouraged to learn and grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of working in childcare has been becoming “Ms. Tye” to so many children. 💕 The children I’ve cared for often become very attached to me, and I love seeing the trust and connection we build over time. Moments like being greeted with excitement, receiving hugs, and knowing a child feels safe and comfortable with me are some of the most meaningful parts of working with children.
