More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I’ve worked with kids in both summer and school settings. Last summer, I was a Resident Advisor at a sleepaway camp for middle schoolers, preparing meals, activities, leading girls group, ect.
I currently work for LA’s BEST as an after-school Program Leader for 4th and 5th graders; helping with homework, leading activities, and going on summer field trips like the aquarium, the natural history museum, ect. These roles have taught me how to connect with kids, manage a group, and handle whatever comes up.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Some of my favorite activities to do with kids are creative or hands-on ones. I love doing arts and crafts, playing games outside, reading stories together, and even helping with homework in a fun, encouraging way. I also enjoy little things like having dance parties, going on walks, or just having conversations that let them be silly, curious, or thoughtful.
Whatever makes them light up, I’m usually down for it!

The most important part about being a nanny...
In my opinion, the most important part of being a nanny is making sure each child feels cared for in a way that meets their individual needs. Every child is different, and some may need extra support or attention. Being a nanny means stepping in to provide that support and creating a safe, nurturing environment where they feel protected and valued.
It’s also so important to make sure they’re having fun and truly enjoying our time together. I see my role as someone who adds to their quality of life. Nurturing them, being a friend, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and secure while experiencing as much joy as possible.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moments are actually the ones that happen when I’m not physically with the kids. Since starting college, having families send me update videos or FaceTime me just so their kids can say hi or tell me they miss me. Those moments mean everything to me.
It reminds me that I made a positive impact on these kids and we’ve built bonds that they still appreciate, and that I’ve become someone they truly care about even when I’m not around. Those moments is what makes this work so special to me.

Babysitter Available in Los Angeles, CA: Madison K.
Hi! I am a high school senior graduating in June, and I will be attending UC Davis for undergraduate school beginning in September. I love working with children; I was a Counselor-in-Training at a summer camp from the ages of 12–15, was then promoted to a counselor, and I still work there as a lead counselor. Additionally, I volunteer at the Encino Community Center, providing childcare for youth ages 7–13. I have experience as a mentor for 30 middle school children, where I created lesson plans, taught fun lessons, tutored, and provided childcare. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have a driver’s license and a car. I take an optimistic and emotionally conscious approach when working with children. Some of my hobbies are baking, cooking, and singing. I am looking forward to working as a nanny/babysitter this summer!
