More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started babysitting when I was about 15, taking care of my newborn sister. As I grew older, I began watching my nephews around the age of 16, using those years to gain experience before offering my services to other families. At 17, I began babysitting for a family in my neighborhood that had a special needs daughter, another daughter, and a son. I cared for them until shortly after I turned 18, when they moved to Mississippi. Now, at 19, I'm eager to get back into babysitting because I truly enjoy it. Additionally, I’ll be starting school next semester to become a teacher's aide for younger children, which will further fuel my passion for working with kids.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love spending time with kids, especially playing at the park. It’s a special way to reconnect with my inner child, and I always have fun running around with them. I also enjoy playing games, watching movies, and even playing with their little toys. Movie nights are definitely my favorite though there’s something so cozy about sharing fun snacks and popcorn while watching a good movie. I try to think outside the box with activities, keeping screen time to a minimum while still ensuring they have a blast doing things they enjoy. For the girls, I love doing a “spa day,” where we paint nails, and they get to do mine while I do theirs. For the boys, I like to organize a “game day,” usually outdoors, where we get active and play games that they love. It’s all about creating fun, memorable moments!

The most important part of being a nanny is building a bond of trust and care. It's not just about watching over kids it's about creating a safe space where they feel loved, heard, and understood. The moments when they come to you with their worries, share their excitement, or simply want to be close are the ones that truly matter. Being there for them, guiding them, and showing them unconditional love is what makes the role so meaningful. It’s these connections that turn babysitting into something more a chance to make a positive difference in a child’s life.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the best parts of babysitting is when the kids tell me they love having me as their sitter, or when they laugh and just have a great time. It warms my heart when they feel comfortable enough to open up and talk to me about anything on their minds. Knowing that I've created a space where they feel safe, loved, and heard means the world to me. It’s those moments that remind me why I love this so much and why I’m always eager to spend time with them.
